What's wrong with me?
Often people who come to counseling for depression and/or anxiety will wonder what’s wrong with them. They will wonder why they can’t find the energy to be productive or why they don’t really look forward to anything anymore. They may wonder why they can’t stop their mind from racing. Or why they constantly feel unsettled. The truth is, experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety at some point in your life is common. You are doing the best you can to manage it with the skills and awareness that you have.
How do you know if you need help?
Depression and anxiety are experienced in a variety of different ways. Whether you have been dealing with these symptoms for years or whether this is new for you, seeking therapy is a good step.
